Art Teacher Workshop - ArtEdWA

I was very pleased to be invited to run a presentation/workshop for some fellow art teachers for the Art Education Association of Western Australia recently. I spoke about how I use artists as inspiration in my art room (both local and international artists as well as current and historical). Such a great opportunity to meet other inspiring teachers and get a chance to do some creating ourselves!! I chose three of my favorite artists to focus on (Shaun Tan, Gustav Klimt and Stormie Mills). Some of the results are below!

Inspired By Stormie Mills

Stormie Mills is a well known artist in Perth, Western Australia, and a favourite of mine. See his style of work on his website We worked with charcoal to create a Stormie Mills inspired character. I love the results!!
